The metropolitan area in India is known as "The National Capital Territory of India," or "Delhi." This metropolis, which has a population of 27 million, is both the largest in the nation and the second most populous on the planet.
Delhi, which served as the capital of numerous kings and empires, is now a collection of modern, traditional, and cosmopolitan communities.
Day at leisure for the remainder.
Afterwards, go on to a full-day sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi. Visiting: -
The city of Old Delhi was created by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan when the Mughal capital was moved here from Agra in the 17th century. To get to the Jama Masjid, one of the biggest and most stunning mosques in the world, drive through the spectacular Red Fort along the Yamuna River. Experience a cycle rickshaw ride through the congested Chandni Chowk neighborhood, the hub of Old Delhi, through jewelers, spice merchants, food vendors, shopping arcades, workshops, and homes.
Visit the Humayun mausoleum later in the afternoon. His senior widow Bega Begam erected the tomb in 1565, nine years after Humayun's passing. The garden squares (charbagh) with paths and water channels, as well as the centrally positioned well-proportioned mausoleum with a double dome, are the most remarkable elements inside the walled perimeter.
Continue on to the Qutub Minar Complex, where you can see a variety of memorials that celebrate the beginning of Islamic sovereignty in India by fusing Islamic calligraphy with Hindu patterns. Drive past the Rashtrapati Bhawan (President's Palace), Secretariat Buildings, Parliament House, and the India Gate, a war memorial arch created in memory of soldiers who lost their lives in the Afghan Wars and World War I, before continuing to Lutyen's New Delhi. Visit the British Council Library as well.
Drive to Agra after breakfast and arrive at Oberoi Amar Vilas to check in.
Relax at the hotel for a few hours before leaving for your half-day tour of Agra in the afternoon. Visit the Agra Fort, which was constructed by Emperor Akbar on the west bank of the river Yamuna and embellished by Jahangir with palaces and gardens.
Visit a marble inlay factory later to watch artisans demonstrate an old technique for setting precious and semi-precious stones in marble.
In the evening, go return to the hotel to stay.
After breakfast, our guide will pick you up from your hotel lobby and take you to see the Taj Mahal, which is a world-famous monument that was erected in 1630 by Shah Jahan for his queen Mumtaz Mahal to house her mortal remains. White marble was used to create this architectural marvel, which stands as a testament to the skill of 20,000 artisans who were brought together from Persia, Turkey, France, and Italy and who took 17 years to finish this "Love Poem in Marble."
Proceed to shop in the evening while enjoying a breathtaking view of the bustling Indian markets.
After a leisurely breakfast, check out of the hotel and travel to Jaipur, stopping in Abhaneri hamlet along the way to admire the Chand Baori stepwell. The stunningly stunning stepwell, which is more than 1,000 years old, was initially dedicated to Harshat Mata, the "Goddess of Joy and Happiness."
Continue your trip to Jaipur, where you can check into the Oberoi Raj Vilas Hotel.
After breakfast, travel to Jaipur for a full day of sightseeing.
Amber Fort served as the state's original capital until 1728. Visit the Jagmandir, the Jai Mahal, the Hall of Victory, or the Kali Temple. Up until 1728, the Amber Fort served as the seat of government for the ancient State of Jaipur. There are public and private audiences rooms, a Sheesh Mahal (hall of mirrors), and other marble mansions that are magnificent illustrations of early Rajput architecture. The Royal family's patron deity, the Temple of Amba (Mother Goddess), is located at the palace's entrance.
The City Palace, a former royal residence constructed in a fusion of Rajasthani and Mughal styles, is the next stop on your tour of the pink city. It is home to a museum with a wonderful collection of Rajasthani costumes as well as Mughal and Rajput armor, which includes swords of various sizes and shapes with elaborate handles. It features an excellent collection of carpets, royal memorabilia, miniature paintings, and rare astronomical works written in Arabic, Persian, Latin, and Sanskrit in its art gallery. Visit the Jantar Mantar as well; it is an astrological and astronomical observatory that Maharaja Jai Singh erected in the 18th century and is renowned for its precision even today.
